Terms of use
Last updated 20 July 2026 · Spotter beta
Spotter is a tool for independent personal trainers to run their business: clients, calendar, gym-floor workout logging, money owed and paid, measurements and progress photos, and a premium client-facing progress view. By creating an account or using Spotter, you agree to these terms.
What Spotter is and isn't
Spotter does not process, hold, or move money. Payment records you log are your own bookkeeping — a record of what's owed and what's been paid, not a payment rail. Spotter is not a party to any agreement between you and your clients, and never inserts itself into that relationship.
Your responsibilities
You're responsible for having your clients' permission to store their information in Spotter, including contact details, health notes, and photos. You're responsible for keeping any share links or client-facing access private to the client they belong to, and for the accuracy of what you log.
Beta status
Spotter is currently in a closed, invite-only beta. Features, design, and this beta's free pricing may change as the product develops. The service is provided as-is during the beta; we work to keep it reliable but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability.
Account and data
You can export everything you've logged as JSON, and delete a single client or your entire account at any time — deletion removes associated records and photos permanently. See our Privacy Policy for how your data and your clients' data is handled.
Limitation of liability
Spotter is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that can't be excluded under applicable law.
Changes
We may update these terms as Spotter develops. Material changes will be communicated to active trainers before they take effect.
